Apostle
Brenda Jefferson

A union that may never have come to pass has resulted in nearly 50 years of marriage … and counting … according to God’s divine plan.

James Jefferson and Brenda Clemons both planned to go to college elsewhere after graduating high school, but the will of God brought them both to Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. They met on the first day of the 1975 fall semester and have been together since that day.

They were married July 29, 1977. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications. She earned a bachelor of science degree in social work. They both began careers in their chosen fields.

Brenda spent more than a decade as a social worker for the El Dorado School District and the state Department of Human Services in Little Rock. But God had a higher calling on her life all along: Preaching and teaching the gospel of the kingdom.

A pastor and apostle, she is a Holy Ghost-filled woman of God who teaches the uncompromising Word of God as the guidepost to abundant living, and she preaches the gospel of the kingdom with power and authority.

“It’s time for the Body of Christ to walk in the God-given authority that was released to church. The scripture says Jesus has given us the power, so how do we access the power and use it for the glory and honor of God?”

Apostle Jefferson has been anointed to give the keys to the kingdom.

She served as Director of Christian Education as well as Leadership Training and Development Coordinator at New Calvary Temple Church of God in Christ in North Little Rock, where Bishop Donne Lindsey Sr. was pastor. She also was a coveted inspirational and motivational speaker and for many years hosted the Greater Little Rock Women’s Conference.

Her first book, “Let the Healing Begin,” was the impetus for a series of Christian workshops around the state. She has proclaimed the gospel of the kingdom across the country, from California to Virginia, Louisiana to Michigan.

That was just the beginning of the greater work God had for her to do in the kingdom. Along the way, she established Moved with Compassion Ministries, an outreach whose name and location later changed to Covenant Faith Praise and Worship Center in Sherwood, Arkansas.

Apostle Jefferson received an honorary Doctorate in Christian Studies and was ordained as an apostle.

She founded Global Impact School of Ministry and Bible College in 2007, where she and a group of pastors and ministers lecture on experiencing manifestation and dominion power as students grow in the word and the knowledge of God.

Apostle Jefferson’s television program, “Empowering Keys for Kingdom Living with Dr. Brenda Jefferson,” airs at 9:30 a.m. Fridays on KTVN. Her Facebook broadcast, “Kingdom Empowerment” with special guest Dr. Lou Jean Turner, airs 7 p.m. Tuesdays.

She and Pastor Jefferson have two children, Nicholas and Akilah.
